Maths

Waiahi has been working at home with her whanau to do her writing and Maths. Here is a post from her lockdown diary.

Legs in a Barn
Harley counted the number of legs he saw in the barn. He told his mum he saw 30 legs. If the animals that Harley saw were some chickens (2 legs), some calves (4 legs), and some bees (6 legs). How many of each animal could Harley have seen if he saw 30 legs.
Solve this problem using the best strategy.

    1. Thanks Sarah for saying that the bees are your favourite. Bees are my favourite too because they make honey for us. Blog you later!

    1. Hi Nanny Lee
I miss you and I am sending this comment to you because I can't see you during lockdown. We have been going over to Nan's and doing maths, writing and reading. We are really lucky because Nan and Poppa are in our bubble.

  3. Your writing is amazing because you have used so many juicy words. This reminded me of when I last made jelly and ate it. I like how you compared the jelly to a wiggly worm, it really helps your story. I also liked how you did worked out your maths drawing pictures of the animals.
